Wanted Crew Fl to Cuba & Isla Mujeres

40' well found catamaran, experienced captain and crew (2) would like one or 2 crew to help sail from Key West to Isla Mujeres. Primary responsibility to stand watches, any additional talents and expertise welcome. Open to making this a relatively leisurely sail along Cuba coast, or going straight through to Isla.

Leaving mid-November.

Re: Wanted Crew Fl to Cuba & Isla Mujeres

We will crew for you (my 18yo son and I), but we are headed to Guatemala (Rio Dulce). We sailed from Key West to there in our 40' cat in just over 4 days. A quick stop in Isla would be okay (we were just there last spring) but we need to get back to the Rio. So if you change your mind about Isla, and want to head to the Rio, which is only about 120 miles from the Bay islands (best and cheapest diving anywhere), we would be happy to crew and we are good sailors so you can relax, we'll even do the night watches. (we are returning to our 40' cat, Thumbs Up), hopefully we'll be grilling up some fresh mahimahi burgers on the way!

My father and I can also crew. He's 47, I'm 21. I just completed a transatlantic earlier this year and did some sailing in the carib. during the spring. My father is a regatta sailor and has offshore experience as well. We can handle night watches with ease, live in Georgia on the east coast.
Pm if interested

Hi
We are a professional couple and avid boaters. We sailed a 45 cat from st Lucia to panama earlier this year and loved it. Rebecca is a great chef and I enjoy the night watches.

Good sailing! Wish it was next fall, wife and I looking to pass to Cuba, we are both land lubbers. I used to power cruise with father in the Pacific Sound out of Everett, no seasickness experienced. Wife is a great cook from central America and strong lady. We would both be willing to learn sailing.

I would prefer the liesure cruise along the coast of Cuba! My name is Colin Sternagel. From Seattle, 25. I just finished my master 100 course and sailing endorsement. I need underway days before I send in my application. I really want some blue water experience. I owned my own 25ft cal for 5 years and was in the Coast Guard Boatwwain mate for 5 years. I have good experience but would really like to learn more. As I need more days underway and nice leisurely cruise to Isla would suit me nicely. email my username (at) gmail.com
