Capt Jeffry,

I have to say you have a most impressive background, resume, and web site. Chances are after reading your web site our paths have probably crossed. We are close to the same age, as youngsters sailed the same Southern California waters. I went the Merchant Marine route, a grad of CMA, but my true love is sailing small boats, not the Unlimited Tonnage ships that paid the bills. You have the job I should have pursued. Congrats my friend.

Ditto on the "nice credentials" comment. LA to Auckland, both ways. Yikes. Hopefully you stopped along the way.

Re: USCG 100 Ton Master

Hmmm...I've gotten 2 replies to my thread posting but don't seem to see the replies.. am I doing something wrong?

Thank you very much to the first two replies. Yes, Southbound we stopped, Hawaii, Palmyra, Samoa, Tonga, Fiji and then Auckland. Northbound we stopped in Rarotonga and Tahiti. Great trips! Cheers, Jeffry

Ah! There it is. Slight delay... Thanks for the kind comments. Growing up sailing in Marina Del Rey in the mid 60's was wonderful. You sort of figured it out for yourself. No pressure from parents to compete like today. Long distance deliveries is my real passion, but often race over for the delivery home. Cheers and thanks again! Jeffry
