UK to Istanbul
Hi.. I am skippering a delivery UK to Istanbul, anticipated departure 1st week of June. Looking for possible crew for legs to Spain/Portugal/Gib and points East
(EU/UK Nationals only).
Food and Board provided but pay your own fares.. Sorry.
Suit mile builders/night watch-keeping for RYA qualifications as it will consist of long hops.
Boat is an old Catalac9, quite basic.. no auto pilot so lots of hours at the helm.
I'm a 'Wrinkly' but not an 'Ageist' or 'Sexist'...lol.

I'd be interested, subject to the admirals approval, and my view of the boat. I hope to do this trip myself, maybe next year. I'll PM my details. I'd be glad to assist you UK side only if that would help. Faro to Soton by FlyBe, soton airport being 2m from me.

I would have loved to do the whole trip with you, but my partner has just put a big NO sign in front of my head as I have a 9 month old daughter! How are we meant to get sailing hours with hurdles like this to overcome? lol
Best of luck with your voyage.

Prioritise... 90% for the daughter... 10% for the sailing... those little 10%'s soon build up... as for the 90%.. you'll never regret it...
Thank loads for the good wishes mate..

Hahahahaa... that's what I typed originally... but changed it to give you some bargaining power... maybe meet halfway at 95%...
I'll see if I can do a MarkJ... keep folks on here posted as I go... give them something to laugh about... I'm proud of my cock-ups... .

Hi there Lokas...
Thanks for your offer.. I'm pretty much crewed up now and with several standby's .. but I will bear you in mind if there's a heavy dropout rate...
it happens more often than one thinks, for a variety of reasons..
