Transatlantic (EW) working passage, without experience

Hey CF,

I'm in the last year of my bachelor's degree (in Belgium) and I've decided to travel around before plunging into a new study.
As I was browsing the web for alternative ways of traveling, I found this charming community and I thought this would be the perfect place to start my journey.

I've got no experience as a crew member, but I'm an eager and quick learner and a hard worker. Naturally I'm willing to help with all on board tasks and I can pitch in with costs to a certain degree.

I've set the American continent as a goal, but I'm open for suggestions!
My final exams end in Juli, so I'm looking to board anywhere in Europe starting August.

Is a transatlantic passage too ambitious for a beginner?

Thank you in advance for your time and consideration,
With kind regards,

Gilles

Google 'Crewseekers' for a transatlantic you may find a delivery skipper willing to take you as part of the crew. It costs to join but will be a good bet for you I think.

Would you be interested in the Baltic and Gulf of Bothia this summer?

Thanks for the tip joshford!

Dauntlessny, that's not really what I was looking for, but as I said, I'm open for suggestions! Actually, I've always fancied a trip to Scandinavia and it's been said the fjords are just overwhelming. So as a matter of fact, I am interested!
