Soldier Tired of the Desert!

I am looking to crew from Fl or SC to anywhere for a week or a week and a half when I come home on leave from Afghanistan in July. I don't have any experience on sailboats but willing to learn. I have been on everything else from a bass-boat to a lobster boat. All green and brown water, not much blue water experience. What I do posess is the ability to fix about anything with whatever is at hand. Also I don't panic, I've been blown up, shot at, rocketed, mortared and more more; I will be rock solid for you in any situation. I am a senior NCO which means I am stable and have been more places in the world than I care to remember; so can deal with almost anybody diplomatically. I have my passport and the willingness to work hard.

Good luck. I know exactly how you feel. I'm in Iraq and counting down the days before I get out of here and retire. I am taking the family to Disney, but an R&R on a boat would be awesome.

Re: Soldier Tired of the Desert!!!

I wasn't able to get on a boat but I did look into lessons when I was on R&R from my last deployment. I went to Galveston, TX to a beach to take pictures of water. Even that alone was pretty nice.
Good luck if you're able to get out on the water.
