Short Notice BVI only $900 per cabin!

We are spending Nov 9 - Dec 6, 2015 in the BVI on a 40' Lagoon Catamaran. We are hoping to find some fun, laid-back folks for each leg of our journey.

November 9 - 16 Boat, Captain expense/cabin $1,700
November 16 - 22 Boat expense/cabin $900
November 22 - 30 Boat expense/cabin $900
Nov 30 - Dec 6 Boat expense/cabin $900

We are looking for experienced sailors but if you are still a novice, join us for our first leg when we will have a licensed captain on board. Here is some information on our esteemed captain!

Captain Lucy Newman is a USCG Licensed captain and an ASA certified Instructor. She has been sailing and racing for over 30 years. Lucy learned how to sail as a youngster on inland lakes and the Atlantic Ocean on the Southeastern seaboard. As an adult she has owned various sailboats and sailed on the Great Lakes, Puget Sound and the Pacific Ocean, The Gulf of Mexico, and the Caribbean. She has been a live-aboard on her own sloop for over ten years. She raced in the Charleston to Bermuda Race in 2003, Harvest Moon Regatta in 2006, Race to the Border in 2009, and several other offshore events. Her passion for sailing and years of experience have contributed to her earning the 2006 ASA "Outstanding Instructor" award. Captain Lucy is committed to her profession and will devote as much time as possible to help anyone who wants to learn how to harness the power of the wind. She is certified to teach Basic Keelboat, Basic Coastal Cruising, Bareboat Chartering, Coastal Navigation, Advanced Coastal Cruising, Catamaran / Multihull Cruising, Basic Celestial Navigation and Docking Endorsement. Capt. Lucy is also available for private lessons.

She will have first choice of the available cabins: double bed, v-berth, and forepeak.

We also have 2 forepeak single berths accessible only from deck. If anyone is interested in joining us for less expense, those are available for $600 the week with the licensed captain and $400 the following legs.

Provisioning will be a separate expense.

These expenses may be lower depending on response.

Our objective this trip is to improve our sailing skills, to commune with nature, explore and enjoy less populated beaches, reefs and coves, and to unwind and relax. Those of you wishing to spend all of the daylight sailing would probably become frustrated with any itinerary we would approve.

We are good mid-western people (we live in Wisconsin) who rarely swear, rarely drink too much and don't believe you have to do either to have a great time. In fact, a rule on the boat will be no drinking until the anchor is set. We get along with anyone, but enjoy people who may have strong opinions but never judge or criticize those who don't share those opinions; people who focus on maximizing the moment instead of bemoaning the past or worrying about the unknown; people who exhibit more curiosity and less condemnation (actually, no condemnation!).

If you can get away and wish to join us, please RSVP via phone. My number is two 6 two 3 six 6 ate six ate ate.

Excitedly,

Linda
