Serious, Fun & much Experienced Crew

Hi all,

I have just recently returned to Europe after a fantastic Atlantic circuit with my Kelsal 39 trimaran. I'm looking forward to sailing again, as crew or skipper and available immediately.

As most would agree; the better sailors are humble, considerate and above all need to work well in a team, on all levels. I stick to those guidelines.

Sailing is at it's best when one can share the experience, although I have sailed across the Atlantic single-handed too, and loved it.

For the last 8 years, I have been working on boats, and have owned 3. First a 24-footer, then the 30-footer "Lutine", and most recently I have a trimaran of 39-foot. With these boats I've been across the Atlantic several times and cruised South America, the Caribbean and islands off the coast of Africa. The South coast of England and Brittany in France are favorite areas, I love the East and West coasts of Sweden too - but only in summertime!

I have for several years worked with my a partner from Austria. She is a sailing instructor and a great person to have on board any boat. We managed yacht deliveries, charter yachts and are a great team. I skippered, with her as mate, a 60 foot Volvo Ocean Racing yacht in South Africa, Brazil, Ireland, England, Sweden, Norway and Germany during 2009.

I'm willing to do maintenance work on yachts. So if you need experienced help or perhapps even advice please contact me.
(I have good skills with GRP, painting, varnishing but also have a very keen understanding of electrical systems and auxiliary engines. I have worked in England, Martinique and Slovenia as a rigger)

Food and galley is my other home ground and I am an apt and willing ships-cook.

I have the US B1/B2 visa.

Yachtmaster offshore certificate, and celestial navigation

STCW '95 Firefighting, Sea Survival, First Aid.

VHF radio license, diesel engine maintenance and a UK driving license

upward 85.000 miles logged, and 9 transats.

I usually require: travel to/from yacht, room and board for the duration.

I am open to all sorts of ideas so get in touch via forum if you think I can help.

I do have a website: Furaha Caribbean Blue Explorer
