Are you actually based in West Bay? I have been in and out of this tiny, charming fishing port a couple of times -- once riding out a storm tied up with the fishing fleet on the quay. I don't believe I ever saw any yachts in there. The harbourmaster always seemed to be kind of amazed when I called ahead about a berth, and very hospitable. He even went out and measured the depths in his rib once to be sure I could make it in with my 2.5 meter draught.

If you're not based there, it seems an offbeat choice for a jumping off point!
