Looking for flexible First Mate/ Deck hand needing sea time to assist captain. Boat is a captain maintained and operated delivery of 65' Marlow Explorer from Fort Lauderdale to NY. Leaving end of July or beginning of August.
Could stay for delivery only or cruise for summer with return in September.

I'm very interested in assisting with this delivery. I actually just did a RI-ME passage a couple weeks ago aboard a 58 foot sailboat and am looking to do at least one more passage before the Summer is over as I'm planning to purchase my own boat in September.

I'm 27 years old, self-employed in the IT field, and have been around and aboard boats my entire life. I'm in Rhode Island but can easily fly down to Ft. Lauderdale and then get back home to Rhode Island from New York once the delivery is complete.

How long are you expecting the delivery to take? Are you stopping along the way or just doing a straight shoot up to New York?

I unfortunately don't have a resume. I don't crew commercially, have an MMC, or anything like that. I'm just a guy that enjoys being at sea.

I've helped aboard family members' boats (albeit slightly smaller than yours, in the 38-42 foot range) my entire life and recently assisted with a passage aboard a sailboat belonging to a CruisersForum member.

I'm familiar with navigational rules and equipment, will happily stand watch during any hours you ask me to, and can basically just be an extra set of eyes/ears/hands.

I could be available for either direction if your still looking. Not a lot of experience, but have completed ASA 101, 103 1nd 104. Have about 100 days and 2000-3000 miles.

Marlow65, it might help if you clarify exactly what type of experience you're looking for. Your original post is especially vague.

Are you looking for paid crew members? Are you paying travel expenses? What duties do you expect your crew members to assume? Are you looking for crew members which possess a MMC? How long do you expect the delivery to take? This is all pertinent information.
