If your still looking for a crew I would be very interested, When did you have in mind for the trip? I dont have any experience on anything bigger then a sailing dinghy but would love to step up to some time on a bigger boat. Currently on Vancouver Island but could make it up there for the trip.

Would like to depart Aug 15 but have nothing pressing on either end . Just wanna beat the weather .

Experience not required . I'm an experienced sailor with USCG masters . Morning Star is well equipped and in fair shape . So am I . And I have done the passage a few times .

Sense of humor and ability to keep from going crazy from boredom essential . And above all , don't panic !

Need not travel Petersburg to US by the way. Prince Rupert to Port Hardy good enough .

I can get up to port hardy same day or next day to prince rupert without problem and would love to join the trip. Date is up to you for weather wise I am free for any period.

Still planning to leave Petersburg this weekend . Stop to shop and fuel in Ketchikan . Wait for a window to cross Dixon - probably nastiest stretch of water twixt here and Hardy .

Anyway , looks like depart Sunday afternoon high . Unless incredibly fair wx and tide , two days Ktn . Need good window to cross Dixon IN ONE DAY . Cannot layover anywhere BC before customs PR .

Trying to figure out how to time it, It all depends on catching a last minute flight into PR, which depends on when the weather allows you to cross dixon.
That would be my first choice is to try and get up there when you are. If not would you be up for me going to port hardy instead?

Well I can lay over a bit in Ktn or maybe PR and wait for you . And I could pick you up in Hardy too . But Hardy to Puget Sound is kinda like pulling into the driveway after a cross country road trip .
