Crew Available: next year...will relocate to a port city now.

I'm currently living in the Cincinnati Ohio area. I'm 50 and going through my mid-life crisis. I have dependable transportation and a guaranteed monthly income to finance my relocation to a port city now. The question that I want to start a dialog with is, "Where? How do I choose between the east VS west coasts, Great Lakes VS the Gulf?"

This fall I pray to be employed in a boat-yard or marina to learn the ropes.

2013: to crew on off-shore voyages.

2014: trans-Atlantic to Germany.

I've got great references and was honorably discharged from 4 years active duty with the USMC. Still being eager to learn, knowledge of desk-top PCs and adaptability are some of my qualities.
