Hello folks,
Just registered at this forum, and I'm not sure if this is the right place to post this thread, but I'm gonna try!
I'm currently on a working holiday in
New Zealand, and my plan is to stay here until the end of the Rugby World Cup! The final is on October 23, so that means I'll intend to leave somewhere in November. Before this plan showed up, I had the idea to be in NZ until May/June, and then try to hitch/crew on
boats to cross the
South Pacific to South America! But now I'll be here for a longer time, I guess it's pretty hard to find
boats heading to, say,
Tonga, in November, because of the start of the cyclone season. Or will there still be boats on the North Island heading that direction in that period of the year?
Hopefully you guys can help me with this issue
I have to say that I'm not an experienced sea-person at all. Did some sailing with friends back home in the summers, but mostly that involved more drinking than actual travelling on the
water
Cheers!
