I just lost a crew member for our trip from Oahu to Morro Bay Ca. I need 1 experienced crew member to take his place. I am leaving very soon and will pay airfare and expenses. This is a 60' cutter rigged sloop, steel, built in Hawaii and has a lot of local history. In face it was a human interest story last evening on khon.com if you want to see what the boat looks like. Her name is S/V Go For Broke.

that's funny. a guy with a crew slot on a 60' cutter from Oahu to Morro Bay was on this site three weeks ago trying to figure out how to get from Morro Bay to Santa Cruz.

Same guy. I/we had some minor delays getting work done here. Plan on leaving this coming Tuesday/Wednesday, if I have a 3rd guy.

Hi,
I currently live in Kailua, Oahu and I'm looking for a way to get back to CA- conveniently enough. I can leave whenever is necessary. I am a student on summer break, a hopeful nursing student, and looking to get home- to long beach- for the summer. I have nautical miles under my belt, but very little actual know-how. In summer of '08 I crewed a trans-at from St Martin to Gibralter. I hitch hiked on a boat with Straits Sailing school and was told what to do with little explanation as to why since the captain focused on the two students. I am a quick learner, understand the type of attitude necessary to crew, am respectful to the space and needs of other crew members.
I fell in love with sailing and would love the opportunity to get back on the water and learn more about a lifestyle I will always be a part of. I was respnsible for four hour watch rotations, cleaning and rotational cooking.
I will cook, clean, take the worst watches. Anything. I am a 22 y/o, clean, grounded female. I would love this chance. And since I'm already on the island, I can meet with crew before hand...
