Need crew and help fab 120' steel outrigger sailboat

Im 70 YO next jul , wake at 5am work 7 days/week

on the tools to fab a big fast boat .

Lots of distractions . must put up radio antennas

for pactor , packet and WIFI , thats how i will

broadcast the msg .

Spent 100k on tools , nuts and bolts , welders , ball bearings

DOM tube , plasma cutters , $1500 on elect' cable ( HD has special

11cents/foot for 12# ) radios , chips and other electronics

Bought 4 HF 165 amp STICK/TIG because its a SMPS , it

will power a MIG easily . I need to asm 35o amp MIGs .

12 Honda DOHC B18b/F22 will power the boat , using

final drive gears from Caravan (van) , about 4:1 ratio , chain will

do REVERSE . Use half the fuel in a gas engine .

Ham radio KC7CC 520 461 8983 Still havent soldered

the MIK/earset to my fone , so gemme a few more days b4 ya fone

I do everything . Im a scientist .

Sounds like a good man! However, that project is huge, expensive and may never see the water....such a shame. You see dreams like this in folks backyards and spare land just fade and die.

I once had a dream to build a steel yacht..woke up to realise it was easier and more cost effective to work at my own trade a few more years, save money and buy a boat.....gets you out there quicker in my experience!

Looks like he is planning to build in Mexico then sail to Thailand. It is a big project to start at the age of 70, but he is a scientist !
