Crew Wanted: Need 1 or 2 people from Dominican Republic To Panama

Hi,
i would need 1 or 2 crew members to help me to sail my new boat (pearson 365) from Luperon, Dominican Republic To Bocas del Toro, Panama, and then to the san blas islands, panama
depart on the 3rd or 4th week of july
Sailing through Jamaica, Nicaragua, Costa Rica, Panama
small sailing experience preferred
(this is not a paid position, but i'd be glad to offer 1-2 weeks of cool time navigation in the wonderful san blas islands !

Hi Cedric,
I am really interested - what positions are available? I am from an old Key West/Bahamas family and have been sailing since I was a little girl, but am now in university and so a bit rusty on my sailing skills. In addition to basic sailing abilities, can offer up a number of other skills that might come in handy. I do not smoke, do not get seasick, know how to clean a boat properly, good cook, etc.

Sometimes the results on these forums amaze me.
We have a person with only 3 posts asking for crew and 2 respond, one with their first post and the other with only their 9th post.

I am a 51 year old retired guy, 8 years navy- masterhelmsman, and used to own/operate 88' sailing ketch with extensive (east) coastal sailing experience. If the position is still available I may be interested. Is there a way you could pay for transport round trip from/to massachusetts?
I also have an old navy buddy I could get as 2nd man if needed as well.

You see a LOT of that here.. Especially here in Crew wanted / available... and someone selling their boat.. Mainly because it's FREE.... LOL....

Thanks for all your answers .. I am not actually doing this trip anymore..
I am now actually in Panama, with a new and better boat and (almost) ready to cruise to the san blas islands. I might do some (cool and not expensive) charter in the next weeks.. PM me if interested ..

New as in Brand New? or newer than the one you were originally buying??

And what happened to the one you were going to buy..?? Still there for sale?

Did you actually go and see the boat?? Might be a good deal for someone else...

no, i meant "new" like "another" one ..
i didn't buy the first one, and she would probably not be a good deal for anyone ... - way too much expensive for her condition .. (and actually owners not very honest either..) ..

Hi, i am not sure how long you will be in the san blas islands, but i am making my way up there soon! i am currently volunteering in Galapagos and although i have limitted sailing experience, i would love the oppurunity to explore san blas and surrounding area. i am very hard working, great in the kitchen, have a degree in physical therapy. i have good attitude and am not afraid of hard work! Let me know if you need any help!
