Mile Building Trip

A friend of mine is delivering a brand new Leopard 48 catamaran from Cape Town to Fort Lauderdale, USA. They've just done the Rio Boat Show (Brazil) and he needs crew ASAP for the Rio - Fort Lauderdale leg. If you're already in Rio or can get there in the next few minutes (okay, day or two), all the better.

The trip is about 4500 NM, you'll have your own en-suite cabin. All food, diesel, propane etc is included. You only need to pay for your flights and US B1/B2 visa (if you're not a US passport holder.

It's all the usual stuff, stand watch, cook, clean, fish, swap unlikely yarns.....

Contact Mike via Delivery Crew | Adverts | (absolutely free crew finder website, amongst other things)

DECLARATION OF INTEREST:
I have two interests in this trip - Mike has spare parts for my BBQ on board, which he will be dropping off in Culebra, Puerto Rico (so you get to see one of the world's most stunning anchorages) and I finally get to have BBQ again.
I own Desperate Sailors, which makes no money what-so-ever.

Complaining. Most I ever got offered was a beer for helping someone find a crew for a delivery. Do I need to declare that as an income for tax purposes?

Hey Stingo, what happened to the crew? Did the crew bail or did Paulie?

Re: Mile Building Trip

These guys were my short term neighbors in Salvadore, Brazil. They gave me a wonderful tour of the boat. You won't have to do any varnishing. Should be a comfy ride on a new vessel. We'll be right behind you!
