Miami to New York

Hi all
I am usually single hander. But, I feel like sleeping more lately - and there are few anchorages.
So.
I have a spot available to help with watches.
prefer someone who looks like Jessica Alba( no acting experience necessary)
Or
ability to stay awake for a couple of hours and kick me in the head when you see lights..
thats it
private cabin (with lock) and head...
leaving soon

Re: Miami to New York

Hello allezcat, I just came back to Miami from working in a farm in Maine with a great thirst to go sailing. I have no sailing experience but I am a man and know how to listen and work. I don't get seasick or complain. I would love to learn and get this experience instead of paying massive sums of money for classes. It would be great to hear from you. Thank you theobregon(at)live(dot)com

Re: Miami to New York

When do you intend to leave Miami?
What kind of boat, equipment? and how long (more or less) are you planing to be at sea?
Do you want participation in costs (food etc) or not?

Re: Miami to New York

The boat is a Catana 582 sailing catamaran.
Plenty of high end electronic equipment.(Unfortunately most still in boxes).
But good enough systems.
Wind vane is not operating - but wet finger still works perfectly.

May leave Friday if wind favorable - maybe within the hour...
No cost for food - no pay either. Pay for own transportation.

Re: Miami to New York

I can also help you out. I'm in LA and willing to fly to Miami. Former Canadian Navy Bosn, although that was 20 years ago. I'm 43 and look 30. Very fit and while I haven't sailed in a while, I've been trained a long time ago and it will come back fast. Plus, I've owned power boats my whole life, so I've been on the water a ton and don't get seasick. Used to watch schedules and financially secure. in fact, I'm currently shopping for a boat here in California but would soncider a crew position if one came up, just to get some more experience.
