Miami to Ft Pierce

Looking for 1 crew, leaving Biscayne Bay Marina Aug. 22, to sail to Ft. Pierce. Probably allow 2 days for the trip on a Cal 31. Will pay food, return transportation. (754) 551-4053. Jeffrey

Just a bit of advice. The current running through the inlet is very strong, so try to time your entry near slack water. The good news is that the channel is pretty wide.

That is where I ran aground the strong current saved me as I was going out on an incoming tide so I almost immediately got off, been ugly if it had been going the other way

We were coming back from the bahamas and of course reached the inlet at the worst moment. I watched people along the shore walking their dogs faster than we were moving....

Pretty much the same here. Definitely not a place to lose an engine. That inlet didn't look all that wide, and those jetties were ready to eat up our boat.
