I have basic navigation skills, understand sailing well, experience on various boats although nothing as large as Mr. Percival. I'm 66 years old although most folks think I'm much younger and am quite fit and have no substance abuse issues, enjoy a drink now and then but not in a chronic sense.
I would love to do at least part of your trip and would be free after Sept. this year, assume by mid year you mean you're planning to leave around July. I am financially secure so sharing expenses sounds excellent. Would be interested really in any part of your trip even the return portion. Also I don't get seasick, have never chundered on a boat.
Realize you've probably had many interested folks but if you might have a spot for me, let me know, I love sailing and am easy-going.
Love the video you put together.

Wow. What a trip and that's the best detailed plan I have seen yet. Would you consider me from Sydney?

Re: Melbourne to Bali (and all the way to the Caribbean)
Hi James,
Have you started your trip? Do still need crew member?
I am interested to go whole way. I am old timer, stick with friend whole way till the end. I have very little experience sailing with this type of boat, but i am very good with Hobie Cat. :-)
I born in Brasil, educated in the US, now living in Japan. My background? Car mechanic, Carpentry, build houses, Network engineer, in the US, Italian Cuisine Chef, include Pizzaiolo, in Japan, Pizzaiolo in Naples, for sometime, 12 years playing water polo in Brasil, love body surfing, anywhere, mainly in Mentwai. Love water, salt, sweet, just love to be closer to the water.
Let me know thru my email: tmhavana at gmail
Thanks and good lucky!!!

Hi, just texted you. I was lined up to sail from Borneo to PNG last year, but delays then work commitments got in the way. Would love to sail on part of Mr Percivals big trip...

Re: Melbourne to Bali (and all the way to the Caribbean)
Hello,
I have recently been thinking of returning to France by boat, I have just read your post and it seems too good to be true.
We are 3, My wife 33 French and energetic, our daughter 9 (a tad bit tom boy) thrill seeking and then me 33 very experienced Head chef that loves adventures.
We would be interested to go all they way from sunshine coast QLD to France.
Would like to know if you have some precise dates and what budget is needed.
Thanks.
My email is stephane giono at Gmail dot com
Cheers

what a fabulous adventure, do you have a date in mind for departure?
And, will you be blogging your trip?
