Marathon to Charlotte Amalie, USVIs

Shoving off after Thanksgiving this fall from S Florida for the USVis and looking for a crew person to help with my 44. Plan on taking the easy, slow route through Bahamas, T&Cs, DR, PR, Spanish VIs then St Thomas, mostly short day trips but a few hops have overnights. It will be a blast.
I'm a straight, white, retired professional pilot, USCG licensed and have cruised the islands before. Under way it's serious sailing, on the hook relaxed and fun.

I'm picky. Must be straight, physically fit non smoker, no drugs, social drinker and willing to help with everything and learn as we go. We'll spend some time on the boat local prior to shoving off to make sure it will work. No nonsense.
If interested, send me a PM with brief bio and I'll respond.

Re: Marathon to Charlotte Amalie, USVIs

I might be interested in the Marathon to USVI trip in late November.

I have ASA 104 certification that I received through Sun Sail in the BVI a couple of years ago. I chartered a Balboa 27 (Pegan Charm) for a week from Florida Keys Bareboat Charter Company in Marathon about 3 years ago, crewed on a Lagoon 38 for 10 days in the BVI last year, and have sailed the mountain lakes of Colorado for 4 years, mostly J22 and Catalina 30.

I am recently retired from Lockheed Martin (Aerospace Engineer/Engineering Manager) and am an ex Army Special Forces pilot in helicopters and airplanes, including sea planes. I am 61 years old, fit, eager, even tempered, and a hard worker. I have held a Dept of Defense secret clearance since I joined the Army in 1972. I also hold a top secret DoD clearance with special background investigation (SSBI), so I'm honest, reliable, and have a pristine history.

I meet all of your stated requirements.

I am interested in gaining additional sailing experience.
