Crew Available: Looking For Others To Invest In Racing Boat

I would like to get 4-6 other that would like to buy a boat that we would use together for racing. Most likely it would need some work. I'm not a loaded guy. I'm in Kentucky so I would like it to sit on the east coast. I'm open to other ideas. I just want to get a crew together, let's all go in buy a boat and race. I also have an interest in crewing together for long trips.

by saying, "let's get a crew together," you're already setting yourself up as skipper, when what you seemed to be asking for was a 4-6 person partnership. If you go ahead with the idea, best have a lawyer help you with the partnership agreement. What's in it isn't as important as every signator understanding what his/her responsibilities and privileges are.
