Looking for ASA instructor in USVI

My wife and I are close to buying our first sailboat and want to look for a certified instructor that will teach us ASA101 and ASA103 (or equivalent) on our own boat in and around USVI/BVI/SVI

Where is a good place to look?

I've tried crew finder websites, but can't seem to narrow down those who can certify.

Any input is appreciated!

Re: Instruction

Good place to look? An ASA school in the area....strongs odds of finding ASA instructors there. ;-)

There are ASA schools in the area, so just contact the schools and see what you can work out.

Finding a local instructor avoids travel expenses for a non-local instructor and also avoids work permit issues.

I've never gotten around to crusing the Spanish VI so might consider it for that, but I'm in Central America so that would add to your costs.

Re: Instruction

I guess I should have added that I've emailed all the schools

Re: Instruction

A few don't do it. A few are cost prohibitive (for us) and one seems open and fair.

I'm still open to other options and avenues.

I'll come down from Minneapolis

Seriously, I am quickly becoming motivated to find warmer water. Depending on your time frame Captain Joan is in that region during the winter as well.
