Re: Lady Sailor Seeks Old Salt Dog for Long Trips

Sorry Zeehag, only sisters.

Where are the single men?

On this note I advertised for sailing buddies in a local free mag earlier this year.

All replies were from married men whose wives did not sail.

Tried again recently and stated 'if a married man, then your wife must sail as well."
Single, gay or female all ok.

My only response has been from a 14 year old.

Ahh well.

We all keep looking.

Aussie Lady, you and the Kiwi advertise in the wrong countries. Here I am, single, hale and hearty, but boat building ... sigh

Michael C... if you ever want to come to the southern hemisphere and OZ.... I am sure we find you some single lady sailors who need someone to help with their boat.

Would love to see some pictures of your schooner. They are the prettiest rig by far.
Especially if a Topsail Schooner.

Re: Lady Sailor Seeks Old Salt Dog for Long Trips

Just arrived in American Samoa, and would like to find crew to join me to Tonga, then on to NZ before typhoon season. The option to continue is open.
I am single, and easy to get along with and hope you are the same. Unless you have chronic depression, or are bipolar, check out my website.
The boat is well cared for, and well equipped for cruising. I hope you like catamarans, since I am not brave enough to cruise with only one hull, rudder, engine, and to carry all that lead around.
Contact me soon: the sooner you get here, the more time we have in Tonga.
Don't bother sending a photo of the brewery, just bring some samples. I never was into spectator sports.

Any of you ladys near central Florida...I am refitting a wonderful 365 Pearson ketch. Hope to start to San Blas islands in the 2 year future. But the adventure is in getting there as much as getting there....lol

Re: Lady Sailor Seeks Old Salt Dog for Long Trips

I gave up on trying to rush through Tonga to get to NZ. So will hang out, and take advantage of the reasonable, reliable shipping in Am Sam to order stuff, and do boat projects. But I'm getting low on work that needs to be done, so I might just need to have some fun too. So this gives me time to find interested and interesting crew.
Towards the end of typhoon season, I 'll get an early start on Tonga, then Fiji, for a very long cruising season. Of course all my plans are firmly carved in jello.
And you?

Hmm, this thread almost makes me wanna chuck all three of my boats and just get out there on an OPB. Hey Zee, I'd sail with ya. Give me another six months or so. I'm just liable to say screw it and make a move.
