Crew Wanted: June / July Cape Cod Cruise from NY

I'm hoping it's not too early to post this notice. My plan is to take my Ericson 32 from Haverstraw, NY, on the Hudson River on a meandering cruise around NYC, through Long Island Sound, and out to Martha's Vineyard, Nantucket, Provincetown, and other destinations as wind and inspiration allow. I hope to depart about mid-June and return about mid-July. I have cruised these areas the last two seasons and am greatly looking forward to going back.

Though I am prepared to single-hand (with my dog), I would enjoy the company of another sailing enthusiast or two. I would meet all boat expenses, of course. You'd be responsible for your own personal expenses and transportation. You could join for all or part of the cruise, depending on the response from others. I would not take more than two other people besides myself. No smokers, please.

Additional sailing opportunities would include day sailing and racing in Haverstraw Bay before and after the cruise and possibly another shorter cruise in September.

Hi I am interested in your Cape Cod Cruise. I am a Marine Biology undergraduate in Plymouth England but have family on the Cape. I have not crewed before but have some sailing experience (and like dogs). Could you let me know if you still want anyone to crew? I want to spend time on the water and gain more sailing experience. I have to be back in England around the end of July so it sounds like it could fit for me. Harry

In 96' I sailed my 24' gaff rigged Cornish Crabber from the Haverstraw Marina to many spots on Cape Cod. Truly my favorite place to be. I am sure you are looking forward to the upcoming cruise.

Great boat, cburger! Last summer, I cruised 19 days and made it up to Rockport, MA, and back. This summer, I'm planning to take more time and a more leisurely approach in and around Martha's Vineyard, Nantucket, etc. I'm looking forward to it!

I live on Nantucket, and I'd be interested in joining your crew for a week or so. My cruising experience consists of many overnighters and weekends on Pearson 26's, and one two week delivery of a Cal 39 from Marsh Harbour (Great Abaco) to Annapolis, MD as crew. All this was as a member of the Boston Harbor Sailing Club, and all about 15 years ago. Nowadays, I try to talk my way onto my friend, Pete's, Hunter 37 as much as possible each season - mostly for short day sails. Thanks.
