Crew Available: Is Panama a good place to look for work?

Hello, I am a deck officer with 3 years experience in the Merchant Navy and a OOW ticket. I am currently in South America traveling and learning Spanish, but would like to enter the super yacht industry. I plan to be in Panama in around 3 weeks time and was wondering if this is a good place to look for a job? Or whether I would be better off heading to the Islands? Any advice would be gratefully received
