Crew Wanted: Hawaii to Los Angles - Nice 54 - August 2015

What: Yacht delivery aboard a modern well outfitted 54' sailing yacht.

When: July 29 to August 21, 2015 (includes a few days for prep).

Where: Oahu, Hawaii to Marina Del Rey, California (LA).

How: Fly to Hawaii, join the crew and actively participate in all aspects of operation of the sailing vessel while underway from Hawaii to LA.

This is a great chance to hone your skills while gaining offshore experience aboard a modern, comfortable well set up vessel with all the latest safety gear.

It's not a paid position and prospective crew are responsible for transportation to and from the vessel and for any expenses they might incur while ashore prior to departure and after landing in LA.

Requirements:

Great can do and helpful attitude and pleasant demeanor are more important that skills/experience, however the latter is also desired. Good health. No smoking or drugs or booze while underway.

Skipper is experienced and has made this voyage previously as well as many others.

I'm helping to select perspective crew (based on my 60,000 ocean miles with lots of crew along the way) and I may possibly join the voyage as well if I can get the time off.

Thanks for the overwhelming response CF! Crew application period is now closed for the Hawaii to LA voyage this August. Lot's of great candidates, it's going to be tough to make the final selection and backup list.

If there was not this land work to be done, I would have wanted --wait still want--just do not have the time right now.
