Crew Available: Grand Cayman Xmas

Hello

Will be in Grand Cayman for Christmas 22-29, 2012. Looking to do a little sailing.

Can pay some. I have a family who may are may not go along. I am 56 and fit and have sailed my own boat across the Caribbean.

Also looking for any advice on accomodations.

Well, I went and didn't go sailing, spent all the time ashore, and still had a good time.

The only rentals I found on seven mile beach were jet skis and kayaks.

On Rum point on the north end of the island, I could have rented a Hobie 16, but I didn't see it until the last hour of the last day.

I know a guy who takes people out sailing for $1200 CI for half a day. The same guy has a nice place to stay "Jeff's guest house" you can reach him at 715-686-2232. He has nice houses, rents them for less than a hotel room, is very pleasant and is an olympic gold medal winner.

Furthermore, if you'd rather take a bus rather than a taxi from the airport, a bus stop for the east end of the island is a thirty minute walk from the terminal at the end of the runway. Buses for the west end can be hailed twenty seven minute walk from the terminal.
