France to USA

I will be returning from Europe late August sailing from France directly to Maryland in US. I will have 2 crew berths available. It is a brand new boat and is reasonably well equipped. As I will be at sea in a couple of days I will be slow replying to messages but I will check in until I depart and then in a couple of weeks. Non smoking Non drinking boat.

Re: France to USA

It is. But with good forecasting and timing that should not be an issue.

Re: France to USA

Andrew,

What are the chances that you'd give a chance to a green sailor who has only taken a training course in Washington, DC (completed all the certs except for the capsize course)? I'm a quick study, but until I get some more experience (beyond tooling around on a Flying Scot), I am just an able pair of hands. Currently, I'm living in Greece while freelancing as a journalist. Not only does going back to the States as a volunteer sailor help my budget, but I'm hoping to turn it into a long form non-fiction piece (on not, if doing so would hurt my chances). Please let me know, on a scale of 1-10, how appealing this all sounds. I ask because if my offer sounds ridiculous--due to lack of experience--then I don't want to go around pestering other people on these threads looking for crew berths.

Thank you,
George
