Florida to Freeport?

Hello All,

I was wondering how likely it would be for me & my Wife to hitch a ride from the Miami area to Freeport and back sometime in January or February?

We would be happy to crew and contribute to the kitty to cover expenses.

We are looking at a dive vacation and have found that airfare from FL to the Bahamas is a bit rediculous. Any excuse to get more time on the water

Hi Steve,
For a short stay in Freeport, Bahamas you might look at the day cruise ships that go there $99 + $49 Bahamian departure tax. They offer extended stay, not sure of all the details. I am sailing to the Bahamas in early March, I will stop at Freeport as I have a friend there with a slip and an extra condo. I will go south from there and not return until June. My guess is that most boats will keep going on.
