Florida Keys to Panama

Looking for crew to head to Panama (Bocas del Toro area) from Key Largo in late May. We're not in a rush so we may travel via Dry Tortugas/Mexico/Belize or via the Bahamas. 40' Islander. Vessel is well equipped with two staterooms and heads. Shared expenses and time at the helm.

Hi!

Me and my boyfriend would love to join you from 1-2 June till maybe 1 july.
We only have a bit experience, but would love to learn more.
We are both smiling and happy people who like to socialize and meet new people.

Hoping to hear from you!

The weather (rain, temperature, humidity) is bad in Panama.

Was there last week. (Not my boat; note anchor ball):

Re: Florida Keys to Panama

Hi There,

I read your ad for seeking crew here, and am interested. I'm a Male 35 year old dutchman. Brief description of myself: Enthusiastic, open minded and direct (what else would you expect from a dutchy ), serious and hard working when needed, easy going if possible.. Skillfull mechanic (Mechanical Engineer) and handy electrician. Good to have around!

Reasonable sailing experience. Grew up on a boat, and have been on a lot of different boats in The Netherlands. Form small to big, old to new. Not much blue-water experience. Sailed from Amsterdam (NL) to St. Petersburg (Russia). Done a lot of overnight races. Have joined some races in Auckland while travelling there last februari.

Currently in Fiji after a crossing from Opua, New Zealand. Was much fun and looking forward doing some more sailing. I'm surfing Fiji at the moment, but am looking for a change of scenery..

Contact me if you have any questions!

Re: Florida Keys to Panama

Slight change in plans. We will be leaving around June 7th (depending upon weather). One crew member has backed out. We still have two additional crew and would welcome one more. We are taking the easy route (Bahamas, Windward Passage, Jamaica, Panama). If interested let us know. Offshore experience is very important, as we will be in open water for 5-7 days.

If you didnt leave already, we are 2 girls from Montreal who are working on a sailboat in Fort Pierce FL until the weekend. After that, we are free to travel and take the time as you want to go to Panama.
