Dear future Captain,

I have no sailing experience (other than being a passenger). I am available from June to December 2014 to help you as crew. I am open to short or long trips.

Paid position is preferable for long trips (going back to school in January). Closer to the US preferable if I have to find my own way there.

About me
(1). I'm a fluent Spanish speaker and if we sail anywhere Spanish speaking I can make life a lot easier
(2). I speak some French, got me by in Tahiti, again can help
(3). I'm taking a hiatus from a nursing degree, so have a few nursing skills which could come in handy
(4). I love board games, own a few. I play euchre, canasta.
(5). I'm educated, travelled extensively, love to read - so I could be an interesting conversationalist
(6). I have some competence in the kitchen
(7). I can mix a few drinks
(8). I'm not a smoker and prefer non-smoking
(9). Social and moderate drinker
(10). Open water diver 15+ years
(11). Can tutor children in math and science

I'm kind, understanding, open to new ideas and points of view.

I thought too I had a crew, but appareantly didn´t worked out. I am at Acapulco right now and leaving next week for Huatulco, Puerto Madero and then Ecuador Mainland and consecutive Galapagos Islands.
I depart of Acapulco after the tropical depression active right now ends. It will be a 242 miles south trip to Huatulco. There expecting weather window to cross the Gulf of Tehuantepec, another 252 miles trip to Puerto Madero. Finally, when weather window opens to leave blue water for Ecuador mainland.

If you can be in Acapulco and if you want to, you can have a place on board. I run the expenses of the boat and Marinas, you run your own food and your own expenses. Immigration fees and everything to enter country is on your expense.

I am a 61 yr old married male that just purchased a boat in Mexico. I could use another person to share duties and be company with on this trip from Puerta Vallarta to the Seattle area. I will be leaving mexico around June 14th or shortly after.

I'm seeking crew to help me bring a Watkins 27 from Mobile Bay to New Orleans... Perhaps I should start my own thread for this...Anyway, it's about a 200 mile trip and I can cover expenses but not much extra. It will be an adventure for sure and the boat is cozy and capable with a very reliable yanmar diesel auxiliary. If you want to know about me and you do Facebook..
