Hi Craig... sorry mate but have decided to stick to the N Hemisphere.. at least for the immediate future.
Maybe drop Atoll a line.. he knows the area and would likely love the chance to get out there again..

thanks for the recommendation phil
he should have no problem finding a good skipper locally in cape town.
a bit hard for me to compete on price for a 4 week trip,once you factor in airfares etc

Yeah I know.. got a pissy e-mail after my last quote which was for a 3month trip quoting a price by ship of $22K Durban to Vigo...
They totally forget/ignore facts like one's a 5-6kt sailboat subject to weather and sea's... and the others a 16kt 24/7 bludi great ship that will do the trip in 10-14 days....
He also ignored the fact its still got to be got to Durban from the Seychelles.. then to Turkey from Vigo before and after shipping...

Yeah - its often airfares that knock us out of the game! The other fact in this particular case is what flag the boat is? If its SA, my reading of the SA regs is that it has to have a skipper with a SA ticket (ie - a South African, effectively!) Which is why I dont (am not allowed to) deliver the new Leopards etc for the Moorings to the Caribbean! Tony
