I know someone who ot 1 delivered to nsw and it was $30,000 on a ship, usual price was $40,000 from florida,
I imagine it would be cheaper than a water delivery given your sails will be most likley finished after the trip costing anothr $15,000 to replace.
Just my .05 cents worth

Eeeee lad... what a shame your limiting your choices... an Oceans an ocean and a Sea is a sea... any decent deep water skipper worth his salt should be able to do the job safely for you barring breaching whales/tsunami's and cyclones... the other hazards are pretty static and avoidable....
Suggest if buying through Sunsail or Moorings you ask the broker about their special out of season deals with Doyles on sails.... then get the skipper to use the originals on the trip...
Did I say that... well slap me round the head with a soggy cod....

Not a skipper, but I'm a great crew member (can sail, navigate, cook, and so on, but don't feel comfortable with the responisblity as a captain (yet)).
If you have a captain, but would like more company and split more of the work and watches, I'm happy to come with you (yes, for free).

send me a pm or email busyjanine @ hotmail dot com.

Re: Delivery Captain - BVI to Melbourne, Australia

G'day. A mate who did the delivery with me last year back to Melb from Mexico pointed out your request so joined the forum to give you the answers to all the questions you will likely ask. My website is
seachangeoceanservices.com and it has my email address and mobile ph nr on it. Please give me a call and would be happy to talk you through the pros and cons. Have done that trip 3 times now in yachts so can give you the costs, timeframes. documentation req'd, equipment req'd etc., etc.,

Look forward to hearing from you and please, there is no cost or obligation in any way. Happy to help a fellow yachtie.

PM me if you want a quote... but you seem to have plenty of interested parties already.

I too, like Boatman, do not quite see the point in limiting your choices, but your the customer...
