Deckhand/watchstander needed May 22
Florida for sail to Virginia
Can you be in
Miami on May 22 to sail from Marathon Key to Deltaville, Virginia ? Third and possibly fourth crew person needed on a late model, well equipped
Catalina 40. Crew will pay their own travel to
Florida and share
food costs but transportation will be provided from Deltaville back to
Annapolis if desired. Could possibly pick you up in West Palm on 23, 24, 25.
Captain's prime responsibility is your
safety and comfort--and to have fun for the entire crew! Yours is to stand watches and assist and keep
boat clean and enjoy the sail.
Captain is professional sailor with thousands of miles underway and 100 ton
license. Mate is a
boat owner and professional
engineer.
Please:
Only respond if you are available and commit to be in
Miami or Marathon on May 22 ready to go with your own
weather gear">foul
weather gear and sleeping bag and preferably an
inflatable PFD with tether
.
Your
reliability, good attitude and demonstrated responsibility as a decent person and good citizen are more important than is your sailing expertise. I am not interested in whether you sailed a sunfish with your aunt on a lake in Vermont but if you have any real cruising or
offshore experience, please put it in the resume.
Special skills such as mechanical,
chef or
medical always desirable. Smokers need not apply. No alcohol while u/w.
