Re: Day Sailing, Short Cruises from Haverstraw, NY

My significant other (AKA boyfriend) and I have recently become interested in sailing and would love to talk to you about going out sometime. He has done some sailing on smaller boats and I none, but we are fit and in our 50's and have a retirement "dream" for which we have to get ready - so learning while we have fun would be awesome! My mom kept her powerboat in Haverstraw marina many years ago (although they may still have our photos posted showing us brandishing mops on deck in order not to ram into our slip-mates, along with caution to "Beware of this Family" in bold underneath) and it is a lovely place. We live in New Paltz, so it is a quick trip down (unless you want to sail up to Kingston or Newburgh to pick us up :-)) Contact me via e-mail if you are interested. Also have some interest in learning your wife's "cookie baking" technique for my personal use LOL.

Hi Janine. Please feel free to contact me at jbandd(at)yahoo(dotcom). I, too, live in New Paltz and would be happy to meet you and your b/f for some sailing on Haverstraw Bay.
