Cruising June Until...

I have a 32' Irwin that I will be leaving from Texas in June bound for St. Somewhere...actually going to sail the Gulf coast for experience and then head to the Carribean next fall...looking for 1 or 2 good folks to share...good times...good experience...good destinations...I will be back to Texas in 2017 for grand-daughter's high school graduation...will consider any and all hops...

On your travels, post regular you tube videos. Lots of folks love living through such videos.

Have a great time.

Re: Cruising June Until...

What are your thoughts on crew with little sailing experience? While I don't know how to sail, I can cook, clean, fish, clean fish, etc...though I'm a fast learner and could likely easily pick it up. The reason I ask is because I will be graduating from college in May and am seeking this type of adventure before I enter the "real world", or whatever they call it.

I would make you a great tender bar, wheel, galley, nav. and an all around good deckhand. I too am looking for an awesome adventure. A friend of mine and I are looking to buy a sailboat and do just what your talking about. If you need one or two sea doggs that you can trust to keep afloat, PM me "saltyseadog"

Hello:

I'll be in Kemah in Jan and may be available in June. I've actually sailed the Irwin 32 many times. Raced on one in NE and spent a few hours chasing a spin to keep from doing death rolls. The boat tends to be rather tender. I have many, many years of experience including offshore deliveries. I just finished eight days on the ICW. Let me know if there's any interest.

Re: Cruising June Until...

Hi,

I'm 52 and own a small farm in Illinois. So, don't have much sailing experience. I'm a pilot and have flown in some pretty tough conditions. Am in good shape and don't get seasick. I'm considering buying a boat something like yours. So, would like to maybe join you.
I became a widower a couple years ago. And, have done well enough that I didn't need to go back to work. So, money is no problem for me.
Life's short and I do my best to enjoy for myself and for others. I'll be returning from Shanghai in March.
