Crew Available: Couple wanting to return to Australia from Central America / Mexico

Our names are Lauren and Mark, please consider us to be crew on your amazing journey. We are two young, fit, mature, and easy going aussies looking to hitch a ride back home.


We have been in Ecuador since July, Mark doing an exchange semester at university and I have been volunteering on various farms. Our plan is to do some surfing and touring of Central America and then to sail home to Australia. We are so extremely keen to sail home that we are willing to be very flexible with times and locations of departure. Therefore if necessary we can travel to meet you.


There are a number of reasons we want to sail home. We want to learn everything there is to know about sailing so that one day we can manage our own boat together, we love the ocean and all activities relating to it (fishing, snorkelling etc) we want to spend time in those beautiful island nations, we are mindful of an airplanes CO2 emissions and wish to avoid contributing to this, we have the time and of course to have the adventure of a lifetime!
Why would you want us? We are relaxed, easygoing and honest. We want to help make your journey as pleasant and carefree as possible and we are more than happy and willing to help with whatever needs doing. We´ll night watch, clean, polish, scrub, cook, catch fish, you name it and we´ll do it! What we lack in experience we make up for in willingness to learn. We have both spent some time at sea and have an idea of how demanding, challenging and exciting life in the open water is. Also we don´t do drugs or smoke.
