Coruña to Canaries

I am sailing from A Coruña to the Canaries. All vessel expenses, fuel, maintenance, transit fees and marina fees are covered by me. You are responsible for transport to and from yacht and any departure or visa fees.
Contributions for food costs are always welcome.

Some sailing experience is necessary; the vessel is a traditional gaff rigged ketch and may seem complex at first. You will learn everything you need on board, but you need to know the basics; rules of the road, a few knots, and have a sense of humour. You'll need to be fit.
The boat is solid, safe and excels in heavy weather; however we don't put out in a tempest, and will wait for the right conditions. Departure is as soon as possible.
Male or female, non smokers preferred. We sail absolutely dry, but drinks in port might be compulsory.
Please PM me if you are interested. I am looking for three crew.

Thx

Re: Coruña to Canaries

Btw- It's probably a two week trip with stops in Lisbon and then maybe Madeira, maybe Gibraltar, depending on the weather..

Re: Coruña to Canaries

Coruña is ok, but I'm ready to leave now. I'll send you some photos if you PM your email address. She was built in Skagen, Denmark 1924. Oak on oak. Rebuilt by a Dutch shipwright in the 90,s. Refitted by me over last 12 months. She's as solid as they come. Dry and sturdy. Very powerful if sailed smartly.
