We have a catamaran, Gemini 3200 (32", motor Honda 30hp), currently in Ft Myers Beach, FL, and we're looking for a captain who could take us to Mexico (Isla de Mujeres, Playa del Carmen area).
If you´re interested please send us a mail with some more information about yourself, and a quick resume of your experience, aswell with personal suggestions about preferred route (very detailled), considering the weather conditons, consumption, costs and security. I am presently residing in Puerto Morelos, 20 miles south of Cancun returning from a delivery to Guatemala. Delivered a 55 cat last year from St. Augustine to panama, transitted the canal and on up to California. The trades will start in a couple of weeks so your voyage from Ft. Myers will be fairly uneventful south. I would stop in Key West, provision up, head over to Hemingway Marina in Havana, Cuba. Don´t worry been there many times. Unbelievable place and probably the safest island in the Caribbean. They will not stamp your passport. Then either straight to Isla Mujeres (225 miles south west), free anchorage in the bay inside, or to Grand Cayman, around the western corner and probably to windward this time of year, also, VERY EXPENSIVE.
