Hi,
I just bought a
Morgan 382. The
boat is in good condition, well equipped for ocean cruising (as it crossed the Atlantic and back), and while the
survey found a few
maintenance items, no major issues surfaced. The
boat is currently located in
Miami, FL.
I am looking to move it to either:
- Northern
Florida, to the Green Cove Springs Marina in the St. John river, near
Jacksonville, FL, and keep it there into
storage until spring of next year.
- OR directly move it to Virginia, exact location yet unknown, where I have
family who can take care of it until spring of next year.
I am available to do the
passage, but would like to hire a
captain & his crew to
skipper the boat and teach me along the way. I have coastal sailing experience around LA & San Fran., and my U.S. sailing up to coastal nagivation, but I do not know the U.S.
east coast, which is why I would need help.
I would like the move to be in August, using as a start or end either of the weekends of August 7th, 14th or 21st. I understand this isn't the perfect time of the year to move a boat along that coast due to the
weather.
Please let me know whether you would be interested, your experience, qualification both as
delivery captain and possibly as sailing instructor, and a ballpark figure of cost. You can either reply here or PM me.
Thanks
Philippe
