Not too bad right now, in the low 50's. Most all of yesterdays sn*w is gone.

Besides I am taking Red on the auto train tmw to Orlando and driving back with the top down over the weekend.

I can see the humour , but the thread title does make you sound a little bit on the mental side - and that reflects on the boat .....plus of course someone looking for 40 odd foot of XYZ boat (i have forgotten already what she is!) won't click into the thread - unless they also have a thing about Zombies .

Hal your Pan Oceanic is very close to what I would like to have for my get out of Dodge ticket. I'm curious why you are willing to let her go and also how she might treat an aging old fart that thinks a few jaunts around the Lake Superior waters might make him ready for warmer waters. Any further information on your vessel would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks, Mike in Minnesota.

Don't forget, zombies can walk on the sea floor, so they can reach any island, and can pile up in pyramids to reach your boat in any anchorable depth.

And they can climb anchor chains too!

I hadn't thought of the piling up thing.

Re: Zombie Apocalypse Escape Yacht

Wouldn't a newly dead zombie float due to gas expansion? Perhaps a zombie that has been dead for a month or so would be able to walk on the sea floor.

If the water was deep enough, wouldn't the zombie be crushed completely by the pressure?

Hi,
Wish I'd been close to the computer and responded faster on your question.

Let's see. She's a Ted Brewer designed Pan Oceanic 46, Repowered in 07 with a Westerbeke, and everything else from fuel tanks through the prop.

Ted did the original Oceanic design for Reese Palley and his wife as a one off for their circumnavication They wrote a book about it. This one came from the factory in Taiwan on its own bottom and I bought it from a guy who was crew on her original delivery. She's been all over the place and I've had her out in really bad weather and never been scared. She's way more sea worthy than I am.

Which brings me to my reason for having her on the market. I'm a power boater at heart. A fishing fanatic actually. Anyway, I can't afford to keep a big sport fisher and a big sailboat, so I kind of turned to the dark side. :-) Watching fuel prices these days, I'm sure I'm gonna regret it. :-(

The listing is here. http://www.yachtworld.com/core/listi...g_id=4344&url=

I can answer any specific questions as well.
