Yanmar 4jh3e diesel engines 2 each

I have for sale 2 Yanmar diesels, 56 HP each, with KM4A1 transmissions. They are still installed and running very well. They have high hours and I am removing them soon prior to circumnavigating. Will sell one or both. Can be seen and run now, before the end of February. Located in Hobe Sound, Fl (next to Jupiter) Make me an offer. e-mail soverel48@att.net phone 772 214 4810.

Re: Yanmar 4jh3e diesel engines 2 each

Sorry for the delay in getting back guys. One engine removed and replaced with a Yanmar 4jk5e. The price of the new engine went up 20% in one day. Yanmar made it very difficult to buy the correct transmission for the boat and I had to settle for a different reduction ratio, tiny transmision KM32A requiring modifications to the prop shaft to accomodate a new coupling. New transmission also has different down angle. Needless to say far more difficult t install than if they would sell me the KM4A transmission. Yanmar's cooperation in getting the correct tranny and response to questions was / is horrible!

I canceled buying the second 4jh5e and will strip select parts from the one removed engine to use as spares for the remaining 4jh3e The engine hour meter has ~ 7400 hours, but I am sure the actual run time was quite a lot less. The on/off toggle switch was likely left in on position quite a lot as a result of needing to be "on" to raise the anchor. If anyone would like the one removed engine minus the heat exchanger /exhaust manifold, starter, oil cooler, sea water pump and transmission I will sell it for $800. You pay for shipping.
