WTB: Shipmate 214 Galley Stove

My friend is restoring a 53' Bristol Channel Pilot Cutter from 1911 to its original state and he's looking for a Shipmate 214 coal burning galley stove.
Anyone here know where to find one or where would be a good place to put a want ad? Any and all leads are welcome!
thanks,
Esther

Shipmate Stoves Available

How about a brand new Shipmate Model 211 for that Bristol Channel Cutter?!?

Shipmate Stoves live again!!

We have new Skippy's...both oval and square top models...and the larger Model 211's (With the oven) available in plain iron, dusted flat black porcelain as well as several nice porcelain colors and stainless or bronze trim and highlights. Our website will be up and running next month but we have Skippy's in stock and the 211's will be arriving from the foundry in 3 weeks. Salty new Model 80 in the works and due out in Spring of 2010.

Shipmate Stove

Thanks! Sounds good to me, I will pass it on to my friend in England and find out if he prefers the original model or would be open to a new version.
I appreciate your reply.

Shipmate Stove

Thanks Esther

I have over 40 antique Shipmate Stoves of all sorts and may be tempted to part with an original one if a new one doesn't fit the bill. Keep me posted and take care.

Hello Sean,

Both Malcolm and I have sent you an email, but as we have not heard back I thought I'd try through this forum again in case the address I have for you is incorrect.
Malcolm is very interested and would love to talk with you soon about the stoves you have available at the moment.
Perhaps you can give me a call at Eight Zero Five-640 1955 (California). Or write me at esthervdw (AT) gmail (DOT) com. (Hoping to avoid spam this way...)

Many thanks!!!

I have one in storage

Esther,

I live in Maine and picked up a larger shipmate stove identical to one I used for years on a 64' schooner. I think its a 214, but would need to check to make sure. I got it at an estate auction, and it looked basically new, I don't believe its ever been installed. If you're interested I'll go take some pictures (its in a storage unit) and get more details....

looking for wood/coal stove/heater

Nice to see others are interested in these. I am looking for a stove like the Skippy or Sardine or a similar one if anyone has a good used one, please let me know.

I have a larger 4 burner cast iron Shipmate wood stove, but it is way too big for what I want.

thanks,
PJ
