Hi- looking for a 12v,1500w Lofrans Tigres windlass. 5/16 G4 gypsy is ideal, but I can change that. Have a manual SL 555 in good condition as partial trade. Location eastern Canada.

Someone is selling a Muir cougar on this forum, do a search (it's also currently on eBay). It's a bit less powerful but if big enough for your boat, could be a nice alternative.

Thanks folks- will check out those links. Don't know about the Muir, will do some research.

It's surprised me to see the range in prices. In fact the lowest price so far is my local marine retailer (the binnacle) which has the unit- brand new, with foot switches and relay box- for $2200 Canadian loons. Significantly less than some of the 'discount' US online houses. Hmmm.
