Re: Wind Vane

I have Atoms, used one year long time ago for a trip from Florida to Europe and back on my Yankee 30. It needs some work, one of the pipes of the stainless tubular frame components cracked, was replaced with the intention of selling the unit, but I haven't got around to transferring a pivot welded on it. I think I still have all the parts and some spares. Atoms is a servo pendulum with strings to tiller. Worked quite well, though not like a modern autopilot. If interested, I would sell it cheap.

Re: Wind Vane

OK, but this will take me couple of days. Have to dig deep in my storage and find all the pieces, try to fit it together and estimate how much work it would be to make it work before I can come up with good price. I'll start today. It's been on my todo list for years.

Re: Wind Vane

SV Antea, that sounds good.Would you also figure in UPS ground shipping to me and your extra trouble to NM 87048 if you are willing to ship it.I checked on this end and think it is around 120.00.I know this is a pain, thanks for working with me.Eric

Re: Wind Vane

I have fetched the pieces from my storage and turns out the work needed is relatively minor. Just need to cut, drill an mount a piece of 1/4" bronze or stainless plate. But I have another urgent project going, so as I said, few days. Packing it for shipping won't be easy. If you saw the pictures on internet, you know it has a appr 4 ft upright piece and that's half the weight. If I can figure how, I may have to let you pay for the shipping, will UPS take your credit card? I am beyond broke. Stan
