I have come across a fully dis-assembled
Volvo Penta 2003 fresh
water cooled
engine with nearly all of the
parts still available.
The
engine was run for about 1 hour while bolted to the
cradle and then stored in a metal shed without draining the
water or winterizing the engine. The shed & engine are in
Seattle, and when
winter came the block froze & cracked.
I bought the
head and valve train for myself, but the rest of the engine (minus the injectors, hi-pressure pumps, bell housing, water pumps and V-drive transmission) is available.
So that would be crankshaft, rods, pistons, camshaft,
oil pump, front case, pullies,
fuel injection lines & hoses,
fuel pump,
exhaust riser, valve cover, 4-engine mounts, flywheel,
heat exchanger, water pipes,
oil pan, etc for basically $500 plus
shipping.
The V-drive
gearbox (!!!) is available too.
I can buy the entire engine as mentioned above (minus the v-drive trans) for $900. However, I only want the
head & rockers, which I'm paying $400 +
shipping for - which I think is a really great
price for basically a complete brand new head. So the rest of the engine would be $500.
So if any one else wants anything, or if a couple of people want to pool together and buy the rest of the engine, let me know. I could have everything sent to me (only a
single shipping charge) and then forward it on to you at cost, or you could come and get the
parts.
Or if that is too complex, I can give you the guys name and you can deal with him directly.
I am going to call him back Monday afternoon, so if you can let me know if you have any interest by Sunday PM that would
work well.
