VI BB Charter 2nd half October 40-45 ft monohull

I'm looking for a bareboat charter in the Virgin Islands for the end of October, prior to the end of off-season. I've done a web search and the best I have found is a 2009 Jeanneau 42DS for $2995/wk.

Ideally, I would charter an Island Packet as I'm considering purchasing one. I haven't found an IP with A/C and a genset. I think A/C is needed in Oct. Anyone know of an IP with A/C available?

I don't mind an older boat. We recently sailed a week Down East Maine in a 1982 Sabre 38. I liked the way she sailed.

Barring a hurricane, what should I expect for sailing conditions that time of year?

I found the Caribbean in October much nicer than Houston in July. But I'll say the charterers usually used their air conditioning all the time anyways. Me I just went swimming.
