Track-It Follow-Me TV Satellite Tracking System

I have a working used Track-It satellilte tv tracking system. Includes the main unit, mounting base, remote control, and detailed instruction and operational manual. Requires a dish and satellite tv receiver.

The unit is designed to watch satellite TV at anchor. It sells new for $900.00, my price is $300. + actual shipping. Location Ft. Lauderdale, Florida Email windman_sail@fastmail.us

Will this unit automatically track the satellite for a stable picture while you swing at anchor?

Yes, it works great at anchor as the boat swings back & forth

I have dealt with plenty of V-Sat tracking systems on ships but never on a small boat. It would be nice to hear a review after it is installed.

Track it TV has been used by boaters successfully for YEARS -- go to their site and read the numerous reviews. They work great. Here's an opportunity to get marine satellite TV for $300!

Looks like an old style antenna turner with an electronic compass. Azimuth but no elevation correction. Pretty old school.
Gyro input needed for elevation correction.

I imagine it works fine in a marina with no boat wakes.

Capt Erict3: I have spent countless hours watching satellite TV in remote locations on the hook using Track It. It works great. Elevation correction in-motion units are $2K+

I have read some good reviews on the unit.

My experience has only been with the industrial / commercial units and then it was primarily after the mechanisms were worn and not acquiring sats as well

Re: Track-It Follow-Me TV Satellite Tracking System

We've had one for a few years.

It is simple in the sence that it tracks side to side but not up and down.

In a marina, we usually just line up the dish and then turn it off. Once lined up, the boat doesn't move enough to need it working.

At anchor, if it's rolling enough to mess with the signal, we are usually moving to a new anchorage anyway.

They used to advertise it as a 90-10 system. You got 90% of the usability for a fraction of the cost. We've been satisfied.

Re: Track-It Follow-Me TV Satellite Tracking System

We have been using a Track-It for about 12 years now all over the U.S. and parts of the Caribbean. Yes, if the boat is really rolling, the signals drops out. But dancing at anchor in 20+ knot winds in a flat anchorage and the unit tracks flawlessly. It can't be beat for the price and this price is fantastic. Chuck
