Weavis... It doesn't matter whether European vat has been paid in the past. If you buy it and import to Europe, you have to pay vat on the assessed value, even if vat has previously been paid by someone else. When you have a spare few days, go to HMRC website and read the rules.
There are a few exceptions to this but you are unlikely to qualify unless you are currently non-U.K. resident.

Get this boat!!!
Forget the Catalac. This is a far, far better boat for a reasonable asking price. These were built by TPI in Rhode Island, USA. A shop with a great reputation.

Probably the best under $100K boat out there. If I were in your market right now, this would be the boat I'd go after. I am stunned these do not go for more money.
I think the number of new Lagoons and the drastic change in styling gives these older lagoons an unfair price deflation. They are one of the best buys out there.
Go!!!

Look a little closer at that TPI and you will realize why its priced like it is.
It would take 40-50k to bring that boat back up to standards.

Unless those early lagoons have meticulous maintenance they seem to not weather Time very well....
Though the same could be said for many boats but the larger windows and poor bedding of deck hardware from the factory seem to cause alot of issues.

Ask any J boat owner with rotten decks and soggy hulls how good a reputation TPI has.
