After only a few months of
ownership, I am selling Nice Tri, #323 of the modern Telstar series produced by PCI in
Annapolis, MD. I purchased a larger cruising
catamaran and simply do not have the energy to maintain two
boats or I might consider keeping her. For those not familiar with the
boat, the Telstar 28 is a trailerable folding
trimaran with an ample
cabin. Like most T-28's, she is fitted with a patented mast-lowering system. While the performance is not F-boat fast, it is a fast
boat for a relatively comfortable weekender or adventure cruiser. She came from the factory with the low-hours
Honda 50 HP
engine and is an ideal boat for our twisty, shallow waterways here in SW
Florida. She will
motor well above 10 knots (up to 17 in calm conditions) allowing quick access to sailing grounds and has
power trim tilt, retractable
rudder and
centerboard resulting in 10 inches of
draft to make beaching a cinch. The boat is in excellent condition but does not have a
trailer and thus the
price is reduced from other Telstars on the market. I am copying the bunk contours and other support measurements from another
trailer to facilitate the fabrication of a trailer and/or boat
lift.
